This is such a great time of year. You can decorate your home VERY inexpensively. Here’s how….bringing the outside in. I’m going to give you a few tips on making your home welcome in the fall.
1. Ambiance – Candles in rich fall colors are always inviting. Use glass hurricanes with river rocks and use colored candles or hurricanes tat are colored or have some type of treatment like cracked glass to give it some pizazz.
2. Bring in the color – Are the leaves changing to those beautiful yellows, oranges, and browns? Go out grab some from the yard (your husband will probably thank you) get some floral wire and florist tape and make your own colorful garland for your mantel or candelabras.
3. Pillows and throws – accessorize with warm colors, aside for the typical colors we associate with autumn try adding sage green and muted blues. They are sure to set off your space. You want your space to be cozy and confortable, add a throw or two and stack some old books on a side table.
4. Make it natural – Have fun with it, don’t make it look too “staged”. Use some pine cones in a decorative container, bring in some twigs from outside to accessorize, maybe incorporate some moss (note: if you bring it in from outdoors make sure there aren’t any visitors in it).
I hope this blog has inspired you to get creative with what’s around you. Remember, you don’t always have to shell out a fortune for your home to look like a million bucks!
Stay tuned…table scapes and setting are coming up next!
